Here is an update on a player that has had much speculation written about him this summer. According to the Daily Mail, Fulham could be close to making a season long loan deal for Monaco striker Eidur Gudjohnsen. The story also discusses that Birmingham City and Glasgow Rangers were in the mix to get Gudjohnsen.

However, according to the Daily Mail it appears Fulham could have won the battle over the other two clubs to sign Gudjohnsen. Last season Eidur Gudjohnsen spent part of the season on loan with Tottenham Hotspur. He actually scored against Fulham in the FA Cup. He is a a quality striker and I understand why Birmingham City and Rangers would have interest. I will continue to update this speculation regarding Eidur Gudjohnsen. I will follow to see if the Icelandic striker ends up with Fulham.
