Here is an update regarding possible Fulham transfer target Rafik Halliche. According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle  are bringing in a last minute offer for Benfica defender Rafik Halliche. I had a post on August 10th regarding potential interest from Fulham in Halliche.

Halliche is an Algerian defender and is 23 years old. The Daily Mail story mentions that Halliche is expected to have a medical with Fulham on monday. The story discusses that he will also train first before a transfer is made.  However, Newcastle United are trying to make a last minute effort to steal him away from Fulham according to the article.

With Philippe Senderos out with a long term injury, Halliche could potentially be a replacement at defender for Fulham. I will continue to follow the RafiK Halliche speculation regarding links to Fulham and Newcastle United.
