Back on May 17th I posted a story that Fulham were leading the charge for Frederic Piquionne. This information was according to a Skysports.com story. Today I just read a story in the Daily Mail that West Ham have made a £3million bid for the Lyon player.
The former Portsmouth player is back with Lyon after his loan finished. He is a quality striker and would be a good fit for several Premiership clubs.
With Avram Grant becoming manager of West Ham this could give them an advantage of landing Piquionne. The player is already familiar with the manager as he just played underneath him.
Only time will tell if Fulham make a formal offer for Piquionne. There is no question they would have another club competing for his services.
