Arsenal's manager insists he did not try to sign Hangeland away from Fulham

Last summer there were many stories linking Arsenal to being very interested In Brede Hangeland of Fulham. The transfer never happened last summer. Hangeland actually signed a multi year contract with Fulham last November. Stories in the media have begun again regarding potential interest of Arsenal in Hangeland.

Well, I just read this article by Chris Harris on Arsenal.com.  According to the Arsenal.com article "Wenger - I have not tried to sign Hangeland" ,the Arsenal manager is insisting that he never attempted to sign Hangeland.

There is also a quote from Arsene Wenger from this Chris Harris article on Arsenal .com. Wenger stated " I find he is a good player but we have never been in for him".  

Brede Hangeland has been an integral part of Fulham ever since he came to the club. Let's hope this article by Chris Harris will end the articles of a link between Brede Hangeland and Arsenal.
