Cottagers Daily Rumor Mill Update: Could Arsenal Have Finally Landed Mark Schwarzer?

The Daily Mirror has a ton of speculation involving Fulham tonight. According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are about to make a deal for Fulham's Mark Schwarzer. According to the article, Arsene Wenger is about to make a new offer for Schwarzer worth £3.5million.   

The Daily Mirror article does mention that Fulham have already rejected Arsenal's first offer for the Australian goalkeeper. However, according to the article Schwarzer has told Fulham he wants to leave. The article states that Roy Hodgson has come to the conclusion he will not be able to keep Schwarzer. 

If this speculation is true it would be a blow for Fulham. Schwarzer is an excellent goalkeeper. I understand why there would be interest from Arsenal. At this point it is speculation and there has been no official word from either Fulham or Arsenal. I will keep following this story.
