Cottagers Daily Rumor Mill Update: Will Roy Hodgson Become Liverpool Manager On Thursday?

Here is the latest speculation regarding Roy Hodgson and the Liverpool job. According to BBC Sport , Roy Hodgson should become Liverpool manager on Thursday. The article mentions that Liverpool were given the right to talk to Hodgson two weeks ago by Fulham.  

Below are quotes from Ian Dennis who is Radio 5 live's senior football reporter. He explains that Hodgson was the top candidate to take over at Anfield by Liverpool.

"Hodgson has always been the number one target of the board at Anfield to replace Benitez," said Ian Dennis, Radio 5 live's senior football reporter.

"After Fulham granted Liverpool permission to speak to Hodgson, it was just a matter of the clubs agreeing a compensation deal for him."

If this speculation is true than the Roy Hodgson saga could be close to being over. If Hodgson is appointed manager of Liverpool I wish him the best of luck. He has been a tremendous manager for Fulham. What he has accomplished at Craven Cottage will not be forgotten. Hodgson is a great manager and Liverpool would be lucky to have him.
