Celtic FC from Scotland will be playing Sporting Lisbon from Portugal tonight at Fenway Park in Boston. The game takes place at 8PM EST. I have lived in the Boston area my entire life. Tonight's game is a special event. There has not been a soccer match at Fenway Park since 1968. It should be interesting to see a match played at a baseball stadium. For fans of Celtic and Sporting Lisbon I wanted to welcome you to the city I call home. There is a buzz in Boston over this match. It should be a fun to watch.
There have been several friendlies the last several years at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Massachusetts. For fans not familiar with the area that is about 45 minutes south of Boston. This game will be right in the middle of the City. That is why this friendly is different and special. My hope is that this game shows locals in the area the passion for the game of football.
