Unfortunately here comes the news that I was afraid of regarding the Martin Jol speculation. According to the Daily Mail, Martin Jol has decided to stay at Ajax and not become Fulham coach. The former Tottenham Hotspur manager had been told by Ajax that he will get the transfer funds he wants at his club the Daily Mail story reports.

Below is a quote from  former Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol that comes from the Daily Mail article.

Jol said: 'Ajax let me know they didn't want me to go. And I don't think I can bring myself to leave Ajax at this time.

'I came here last summer to be successful, the build a good team and to have fun. And those three things are what I am interested in achieving next season.

'It was always my intention to build Ajax further. It is full speed ahead and we all need to roll up our sleeves. That is essential.'

Now that Martin Jol has decided to stay at Ajax what is next for Fulham? Who will they now target to become their new manager? The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has really put Fulham in a hard spot with the season coming up. I will be following to see who Fulham will now pursue to become the manager at Fulham.
