My 5 Keys To Victory For Fulham Against Wolverhampton - Match Preview

This Saturday, Fulham will be back at home to play Wolverhampton at Craven Cottage. The game takes place at 3PM UK Time and 10 AM EST. The game will be on television taped delayed on Saturday at 11:30 PM EST in the United States. However, there is another option online. You can watch the game on Foxsoccer.tv live. This is a subscription based service that I would recommend.

In my opinion, this is a must win for the Cottagers. For Fulham to have a great season they need to be dominant at home. However, I don't think this game is going to be easy for Fulham.

Wolverhampton played Fulham tough last season. At Craven Cottage, the clubs played a 0 - 0 draw. Wolverhampton beat Fulham 2 - 1 at Molineaux Stadium.

Mick McCarthy is the manager of Wolverhampton, and has done a nice job with his club. They have a few players that can be dangerous scoring threats. Kevin Doyle I think is a quality player, and someone that Fulham are going to need to keep an eye on. Next, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is a goal scoring threat. A few seasons ago he scored 25 goals for Wolverhampton. He already has scored twice for Wolves. Also, there is a possibility you could see Marcus Bent playing tomorrow at striker. He comes from Birmingham on loan.

As I do before every match I do my 5 "keys" that I hope will lead to 3 points for Fulham. Below are " My 5 Keys To Victory For Fulham Against Wolverhampton".

1. Fulham need to set the pace of the match early with an attacking style of play.  Playing at Craven Cottage has been the place where Fulham have been really aggressive. Fulham need to push the tempo to create as many scoring opportunities early. They need to put Wolves on the defensive from the minute the game begins. The longer Wolverhampton stays close the more chance they have on pulling an upset.

2. Fulham need to capitalize on set pieces.  Whether it is free kicks or corner kicks Fulham need to see results from these situations. Zamora has the ability to score off of free kicks. Also, as we saw in the Manchester United game Fulham can be dangerous on corner kicks. Brede Hangeland is a real threat in the box on corners. I would love to see him score more goals this season from these set pieces.

3. The Goalkeeper needs to be solid against Wolverhampton.  At this point I am not sure who will be in net for Fulham. I have a feeling it will be Mark Schwarzer. I am sure we will find out right before game time. Whoever is in net cannot give up a cheap goal against this team. If the goalkeeper is solid tomorrow, Fulham should have a great chance at victory.

4.The left back needs to be defensive and also have the ability to be offensive. Paul Konchesky I thought was a great two way player at left back. He really had the ability to push forward to set up the strikers. He also was solid in defending.

We could see the debut of Carlos Salcido tomorrow. I have heard great reports on this player. I look forward to him playing for Fulham. I am not as confident if it is Stephen Kelly at left back. He is average at the position, but he does have his moments. Left back will be a position to watch tomorrow.

5. Moussa Dembele needs to continue to create goal scoring opportunities.  I have been very impressed by his play so far for Fulham. He has been very involved in scoring himself, and also setting up other teammates. If he continues his fine play of creating scoring opportunities Fulham could be on their way to victory.

I think Fulham have a great chance at victory tomorrow. It should be an interesting match-up Saturday at Craven Cottage. I am predicting Fulham to win 2 - 0 against Wolverhampton at Craven Cottage.
