Moussa Dembele went down with a possible injury today that could be serious. Fulham lost 2-0 to Stoke City in the third round of the Carling Cup. The bigger story of the day could be the extent of the potential injury to Dembele. He was taken off on a stretcher when he went down from a challenge by Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson.

After the match, Fulham manager Mark Hughes commented on the potential injury. According to the article on Fulhamfc.com, Hughes talks about that 24 hour timetable when they will know the severity of the possible injury. Below is a quote from Mark Hughes that comes from the Official Fulham website.

'We’ll know in the next 24 hours the full extent of Mousa’s injury but if he’s avoided serious injury then he’s a very lucky boy,' Hughes told fulhamfc.com. 'We’ll have to wait for it to settle before we can have it scanned.'

I will be following this possible injury situation for Moussa Dembele. I will have an update when more information is available.
