Jol after Naughton

The People are reporting that we're after Tottenham Hotspur full back Kyle Naughton after the young Englishman's performances on loan at Norwich City caught his eye.

He's been at Carrow Road for the whole campaign so far and has impressed so much that he's found himself on the fringes of both Capello and now Stuart Pearce's England squad. As such, Norwich manager Paul Lambert would like to make Naughton's deal permanent, but he will now face competition from the Cottagers.

Naughton would presumably prefer the move to London, not only with it being closer to his current home, but also because of the greater aspirations with an established Premier League club. It's thought Tottenham would be willing to let him leave at a fee reported to be around £3.5 million in the summer.

Also in the People, Dave Kidd reports that Bobby Zamora wants to leave Queens Park Rangers amid criticism of the club's training facilities. There were even suggestions that he regretted leaving Fulham.

Funny old world, isn't it?
