Having had an offer refused earlier in the week, Fulham have increased their bid to Wolves for the services of England international, Matt Jarvis, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Martin Jol made an initial offer to the Midlands club in the region of £4 million but this was flatly rejected with Wolves thought to be holding out for £10 million, their somewhat inflated valuation for the player. It is thought that Fulham will not go anywhere near that price tag and Jol has returned with a slightly improved offer of £4.5 million - probably just to further negotiations.

Wolves are unlikely to accept this bid but Fulham's manager is keen to land Jarvis, who himself would be happy to play Premier League football again. His current club, though, who were relegated last season, aren't under any obligation to sell and the Molineux side would like to keep ahold of their star players in a bid to return to the top flight at the first attempt.
