Berbatov to sign for Fulham (supposedly)

Sky Italia are reporting that Dimitar Berbatov has turned down moves to both Juventus and Fiorentina in favour of staying in England with Martin Jol's Fulham.

The saga over Berbatov's future hasn't been quite as extensive as Clint Dempsey's but its certainly been as eventful. Earlier today the player was supposed to fly to Italy to agree terms with Fiorentina after the Italian club and Manchester United agreed a fee over the striker's services.

However, rumours arose that Berbatov hadn't boarded the plane and had instead sought to agree a contract with Juventus only for, a matter of hours later, Sky Italia to report that deal too had fallen through.

It is believed that Fulham put in a very late bid which has turned the Bulgarian's head.
