This is just a quick write up to go through all the rumors floating around the internets today.
First, Meulensteen is interested in Wilfried Zaha. This would have to be on loan. With only one domestic loan spot left, I'm not sure I want to use it on a winger. While he's talented, I'd prefer Kacaniklic and Dejagah get most of the time.
Apparantly, Fulham is trying to transfer John Guidetti. I'd be all for this move. He probably could be had for £5-6M. He's definitely surplus on the City side. Behind Negrado, Jovetic, Aguero, and Dzeko; he's not likely to play much. Even if they sell off Aguero during the off season they still have forward depth behind in Scapuzzi and Nimely.
Fulham is lining up a bid for Bafetimbi Gomis. This seems less likely as he'd be more expensive, is older, and is available on a free in the summer. Unless he really wants to come to Fulham, he's likely to wait it out and pick his club.
Arsenal is interested in a loan for Berbatov. As weird as it sounds, I could see it happening. Fulham gets him off the books. Arsenal upgrades on Nicklas Bendtner. Everyone wins. If Fulham can secure a new striker, I could see this one happening.
Fulham is pursing Manchester United's Anderson. This became all the rage after Meulensteen showed up. It makes too much sense not to mention. Meulensteen is familiar with him and likes him. He's not playing and doesn't look to be in the future for United. He plays a position of need for Fulham. That being said, it almost makes too much sense to actually happen.
Perhaps John Arne Riise will be staying with Fulham? Did Meluensteen play him on Wednesday because he doesn't like Kieran Richardson? Or was he just unsure Richardson could play three games in eight days? If Riise starts again on Sunday, I think we know the answer. If Richardson starts, I still think Riise leaves if anyone will take him.
Finally, Fulham is competing with Liverpool for Balazs Dzsudzsak. I'm sure Fulham would love to have him. But I have a feeling he's too expensive. I could see him fetching £15M+. If that's the case, that's probably most of Fulham's transfer kitty in one player. And that player isn't in a position of great need for the club.
