Fulham have announced the signing of Adil Chihi on a free transfer from FC Cologne. They also announced the signing Thomas Eisfeld from Arsenal.
Chihi is a 26 year old, right sided midfield player. He had been on trial with the club for sometime and must have proved he was fit enough to sign. He seems to be more of an attacking player, I'm not sure he has the defensive ability to be a shuttler in the diamond. However he does strengthen the side and provides cover (especially if Ashkan Dejagah is to leave).
Thomas Eisfeld is 21 year old, attacking midfielder from Arsenal. He seems to be well thought of by Arsenal fans, but he's blocked by a huge group of players. It's no shame not being able to beat out Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin, and Serge Gnabry. Arsenal could basically field a full 12 man squad of highly rated attacking midfielders. From the looks of Eisfeld, he is probably capable of playing both shuttler roles in the diamond and at the tip of the diamond between the two strikers. He could also play behind the center forward in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
Fulham are still a little thin at the defensive center mid position, but these two signings are quite positive.
For some reason, Fulham keep being linked to goal keepers. Leading more credence to the idea that both Maarten Stekelenburg and David Stockdale could be going. This time the link is to Gianluca Curci. He is a Roma player who spent the last two years on loan to Bologna. I really don't know enough about him to say whether he'd be a good fit, but Stekelenburg has made me nervous about Roma goalkeepers.
Another rumor is one that I didn't think could happen. Hugo Rodallega is reportedly on £70K/week. Trying to move that much salary is a very difficult thing. But somehow Fulham seemed poised to do so. It seems that River Platte in Argentina are ready to pay €2M to take him. I personally believe Rodallega could still be useful at the club, but I wouldn't pass up that kind of fee.
Finally, the Kostas Mitroglou soap opera continues. Yesterday there were reports Fulham wanted him to stay. But today's rumors are that Fulham want to sell him, not loan him. Again, these are mostly unsourced, so take them with a grain of salt. Or maybe a whole shaker's worth:
Mitroglou came close to a loan move to Saint Etienne but Fulham pulled the plug at the end. Trabzonspor also want him. Fulham trying to sell

As Fulham get ready to depart for Florida, I think you might see the real news slow a bit. It will be interesting to see exactly what kind of squad they take for the Jacksonville friendly. Maybe by then we'll have a better idea of what the squad is going to look like.
