Precognation Confedential V: an XI of yours

Okay, so our thoughts weren't really replicated by Felix Magath... let's see if he lines up at all with our thoughts this week.

Charlie Crowhurst

Last week I explored the avenue of trying to rally this community towards talking about the Starting XI prior to the start of game day. That again is the goal today.  Let's forget about the result of that nightmare and the crap that came with most of the second half and instead focus on how the team was tactically set-up.

"The preparation was very good. You go into a game in a good mood and you want to play well. At 1-0 down at half-time we said we need to stick together and then we equalised. But they scored a few minutes later and everything broke down." - Felix Magath

As you can see from the picture above they were set up with the classic 4-4-2; however on Tuesday evening, in lieu of the Capital One cup 2nd round match-up against Brentford, Felix Magath went back to the 4-1-2-1-2 (aka the diamond formation) that we had seen predominately during the pre-season.

Pos Name Rating

RB Tim Hoogland 4.14

RM Patrick Roberts 4.45
CM Ryan Williams 4.00
CM Scotty Parker 5.17
LM Konstantinos Stafylidis 4.31
RF Cauley Woodrow 3.62
LF Ross McCormack 4.06
SUB Alexander Kacaniklic 4.94
SUB Kay Voser 4.00
SUB Thomas Esifeld 3.59

This is all just a few things to think about prior to actually submitting your ideas for this weekends match-up against Cardiff City, our relegation partner from last season. Keeping things further in context here are how you rated the boys from the Derby Match. A big thanks to the 50-odd people that participated in the community ratings and it's something I'd like to continue to try and continue to provide as I believe it'll help grow our community as a whole.

With that here is this weeks starting line-up vote. Please, please, please drop your comments down at the bottom and tell us why you choose those that you did. Also if you have a way to make what I'm doing better and to build upon it let me know. This is for the community.
