The Whites' chances of moving up the table in the Championship were again pummeled as they lost 1-0 to Cardiff.

It was originally feared that the game might have been delayed after the Ninian Stand was actually damaged by the strong winds that the UK has been facing this week. Anyway, in the early minutes of the game it seemed that the Whites were mostly defending, clearing the ball each time Cardiff got into the attacking third. Adam Le Fondre was fouled by Shaun Hutchinson, but the following free kick didn't lead to anything goal-wise, with Le Fondre unable to find Kenwyne Jones.

Aron Gunnarsson's high throw into the box was enough for Sean Morrison to head it in, even though Bettinelli got a touch of the ball. This was attempted again in the 21st minute as Gunnarsson threw into the box for Tom Adeyemi to head in, but luckily Kostas Stafylidis was there to deflect the attempt at the far post. John Brayford almost made it 2-0 in the second half, however the shot was just wide of the net.

Not to say that the Whites didn't attack well though, as they almost managed to get an equalizer in during the 35th minute when Cauley Woodrow attempted a curled shot, but unfortunately it sailed over the net. Ross McCormack proved himself to be the main attacking force for the team, but sadly his 38th minute attempt also curled just over the net. McCormack was also fouled in the 60th minute, his right footed free kick attempt proving too slow as it was saved by Simon Moore.

Changes were also made in the second half, with Alex Kacaniklic and Sean Kavanagh both coming on to replace Seko Fofana and Cauley Woodrow, and Moussa Demebele also coming out to replace Hugo Rodallega in the 74th minute, but unfortunately none of these changes helped net an equalizer.

Another disappointing result for the Whites as Cardiff secured their first win in 6 league games, with poor attacking from the Whites leaving the team in 18th place on the Championship table with only 28 points. Hopefully we'll be able to turn it around soon enough.
