'The versatile full-back made his debut for the Swans in the Championship as an 18-year-old, and has since gone on to make 48 appearances for the club.' The club's official announcement read.
After a lack of game time with the Welsh side, Richards found himself in desperate need of First Team football. The 23-year-old has made 10 appearances for the Swans this season, but has not featured in the Premier League since being substituted at half-time in the 4-1 defeat by Liverpool in December.
The Swansea-born 23-year-old has four international caps to his name to date, and so has worked closely with Fulham boss – Wales’ assistant manager – Kit Symons already.
Having been on-loan to both Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace the wing back has good Championship experience, a quality which was lacking in the Fulham side.
The player is expected to make his debut in Fulham's away match against Blackburn Rovers:
"I know George Williams here, too, and I’ve had a brief chat with him, and everything sounds good so I can’t wait to get started." The player told the club's official site.
