Match Report: Fulham 1 - Leeds United 1

Okay. We're 13th so I can't complain. But there's not much I can say.

This week's been awful for me, and probably for us as a team too. We drew 1-1 against Leeds United, at home (!!!!!!) last night. The visitors earned a goal 43 minutes after we scored one. From a penalty. Imagine that.

The match started off with the visitors having an effort which was scrambled out, before Ross McCormack sent a ranged effort past the visitors' post. Things seemed bad for us when Sam Byram found his cross improperly cleared by our defence, but fortunately for us the ball didn't meet a visiting player. A ball from Jamie O'Hara found Ryan Tunniclife, who scuffed his effort from 25 yards out. Joe Lewis was forced into play 12 minutes later, when Chris Wood passed to Stuart Dallas, whose powerful effort required some intervention from the goalie. He was called into action again when a free kick from Luke Murphy wasn't dealt with and made its way to Wood, however our goalkeeper was there to smother the ball away from danger.

We took the lead in the 22nd minute when McCormack slipped Moussa Dembele the ball, who found his way past Sol Bamba and slipped the ball past Marco Silvestri to make it 1-0. Dallas found himself in an attempt to reply for the visitors in the 35th minute when he intercepted a clearance by Dan Burn, but his effort was well wide. Ben Pringle had a chance for us after receiving the ball from Lasse Vigen Christensen, however the shot was just wide of the far post. Lewis had a shot dealt with by our goalie before Dembele found himself booked for elbowing Liam Cooper in the face during the 39th minute. Garbutt was played in shortly before the halftime whistle, his cross unfortunately caught by Silvestri, before Gaetano Berardi's effort bounced in front of Lewis who parried it away. O'Hara was shown a yellow for a foul on Dallas, while the following free kick found Bamba who headed over.

A quick one two play with McCormack and Christensen led to the latter getting a shot on goal, but unfortunately it was blocked. Lewis shortly found himself in hot water when he bought Tom Adeyemi down in the box, but fortunately the referee signalled a goal kick, much to the dismay of the visiting team and its fans. Jordan Botaka came to replace Murphy shortly after, and in the 62nd minute Dembele was found to have handballed in the box. Wood's low shot found its way into the net, through both of Lewis' hands. We replied to this by bringing on Ryan Fredericks to replace Ben Pringle. The former made an impact instantly, however his tame shot went wide.

A lob pass by Tunniclife towards Fredericks was blocked by Silvestri, before Alexander Kacaniklic came on to replace Christensen. Leeds also made a substiution, bringing on Will Buckley to replace Wood. McCormack played in Tunniclife but his attempt was caught by Silvestri, while Marco Antenucci saw his effort scrambled out for a corner. Lewis was in top form as he tipped Dallas' curling effort over the bar. Dembele saw himself replaced by Cauley Woodrow as the game began to near stoppage time. Lewis denied Antenucci, before Burn and Garbutt saw themselves booked, as well as Cook for the visitors. A corner from O'Hara met the head of Dan Burn but the lack of contact ended the game at 1-1.
