Kit Symons position at Fulham at become untenable. It remains to be see home much improvement a new manager will bring. However, with very little of the fanbase behind him, the team couldn't keep him on.
This is the first time since Roy Hodgson left that I'm genuinely sad about a manager leaving. Kit seemed to be a very great guy and did put an end to the rot that had crept in. He didn't help the club outperform their talent, but he kept them from sliding even further back. His results simply didn't keep up with the clubs expectations. I really hope he learned from his experience and is able to get another shot at managing in the future.
So, now the question is what happens next. For the immediate future, this is what we know.
Alan Curbishley taking training as #FFC look for Kit Symons' successor. Mike Rigg is leading the search for the club's next manager.

Alan Curbishley has not been named a caretaker manager. That probably puts him out of the running for the permanent job. The betting odds have Steve Bruce has the prohibitive favorite, with the list of possibilities full of the usual retreads. To be honest, none of them excite me.
You'll see people clamoring for Brendan Rodgers, even though there's no way it will happen. My favorite two candidates just took other jobs unfortunately. David Wagner is now at Huddersfield Town while Bob Bradley just took a job at Le Havre.
This is an important appointment. Fulham have the talent and the are in a position where challenging for promotion is still possible. Getting it wrong though could turn this into another wasted season.
