Fulham's Safety Mathematically Confirmed

Just a quick update.

Amid preview after preview and rumour after rumour about Fulham's 'big' summer and new signings in preparation for next year's Championship, I saw few comment on the fact that until today we were still mathematically possible for the drop to League One.

Realistically, fears of relegation had vanished after Fulham overcame Blackpool in a 1-0 victory at the weekend. But 3 wins in 3 for Millwall would have put them level on points with us, assuming we lost to both Middlesbrough and Norwich. The slight possibility that they beat us on goal difference was also still there and as a result, Fulham were not technically safe until today. Luckily, though, this unlikely scenario became 100% impossible as Millwall dropped points away to Blackburn.

So now it truly is time to think of next season, our next manager (maybe), our next big signing, next promotion, mid-table finish, or even relegation. We'll have to wait and see, but for now you can sit back, relax and enjoy as Fulham go out and lose to Boro and Norwich. After all, it's not like this season has been worrying or anything...
