I don't think this was the season that anyone expected. The year started with hopes of promotion. The end of the season featured flirtations with relegation.
We had a manager who broke the club, treated injuries with cheese, and will be forever reviled. We had the excitement of the Kit Symons appointment, the hope of the playoffs that came with his good opening run, and the slide that made us all wonder if he was the right man for the job.
So now the season's over, Fulham are midtable, and we get to do it all again next year. Another year where it's hard to watch the team. Another year following the games via Gentleman Jim. What has to happen for next season to be different?
There are more questions than answers remaining. Is Kit Symons the right man for the job? If he's not, who is? How quickly can you get the right man in place? Which players are you going to keep? In what positions are you going to invest?
I myself am not even sure where to begin. But over the coming weeks I'll share my thoughts on all of the questions that need answering. In the meantime. What's your plan going forward?
