I'll excuse you if you forget that Kostas Mitroglou is still a Fulham player. Three appearances in a season and half are easy to forget. Most everyone knows that Fulham have been in negotiations with the Turkish club for some time trying to offload the player. It makes sense given that Fenerbahce has hired Vitor Pereira, who was Mitroglou's manager at Olympiakos.
It seems that the Fenerbahce want to offload a disgruntled player of their own in Emmanuel Emenike. While Fulham are much more interested in just recouping as much of their money as possible.
Mitroglou's agent Panagiotis Galariotis had this to say about the situation:
For some time Fenerbahce and Fulham are in negotiations about Kostas. Everyone knows.
The claim that Kostas does not want to go to Istanbul is not true. He is a professional and Istanbul is a beautiful city. The chances are 50-50. The point is to for the two clubs to strike a deal.
