Richards, who played for Fulham 14 times last season while on loan from Swansea, agreed upon a deal through 2018 with a club option for 2019. The transfer fee was not disclosed.
Jazz is able to play both fullback positions, although he's more comfortable on the right side. Given Kit Symons' tendencies last season, I foresee Richards being the starting right back come the beginning of the season, but Jack Grimmer will also vie for minutes at the position.
Supporters seem to have mixed feelings about the Welsh international due to his previous showings for the Whites. He definitely looked shaky at times. That being said, Jazz is still only 24 and has not yet reached his potential. He was even one of the better players for Wales in their huge win against Belgium during Euro qualifiers several weeks ago. He defended Eden Hazard admirably from the right wing back position and held the ball well. Hopefully he can carry over that performance into preseason and beyond.
