Rohan Ince is a defensive midfielder (how long have we been searching for one of those) who's a product of the Chelsea youth system. After playing 32 league games for them last season, he only featured 12 times this year and may not be in the future plans. There is no option to buy, but a deal could become permanent if Brighton and Hove Albion were to be promoted. Defensive midfielders don't usually have a lot of highlight videos, but they also don't often do things like this:
That strike may be one in a million, but at least we know the quality is in him.
Zakaria Labyad joins Fulham on loan from Sporting Clube de Portugal. He can play on either wing, as an attacking midfielder, or as a withdrawn striker. Again, no option to buy was announced, but with only one year left on his deal, he would probably be available in the Summer window if the club so chooses (and the transfer ban were to be lifted). He has experience in the Eredevise with PSV Eindhoven and Vitesse. Wing play has been something Fulham have lacked in recent seasons, perhaps he can be the answer.
Zakaria describes himself like this:
I’m an attacking player, I’m a creative player, I can score goals, and I’m a team player. Yes, I hope the fans will like my football style, but of course the most important thing is to win games.
It's hard to argue with that after seeing his highlight video.
Now it remains to be seen how these players are going to be used and when they will first be featured. It is promising news that new players are coming in. There may even be more news to come as the deadline fast approaches.
