Watch: Fulham vs. MK Dons

Another match Fulham dominated statistically. Finally though, they get a reward for the statistical superiority.

Fulham had 52% of the possession and out passed MK Dons 412-284. While Fulham only completed 75% of their passes, MK Dons were even worse only completing 64%. Fulham out shot the visitors 22-12, with only seven of MK Dons shots coming from the run of play. Fulham created three big chances and only gave up one. Without Cody Cropper making seven saves, the scoreline could have been even bigger in Fulham's favor.

Of course, all that domination didn't lead to a comfortable win. Once again Fulham were the better team for an entire half with nothing to show for it. This time they were able to take the lead early in the second half, but as usual a defensive blunder almost doomed them. I've watched the MK Dons goal at least a half dozen times by now, and I'm still not sure what the defenders were doing on it.

When MK Dons equalized, I basically gave up hope, and to be honest it looked like the team did too. But as bad as Fulham have been this year. Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack are magic. They combined once again to give Fulham the winning goal.

Fulham are now four points clear of relegation, with the two teams above them being ones which they should pass. The next two fixtures aren't the easiest, but Preston North End has little to play for and Cardiff City has to come to Craven Cottage. Getting as many points from those two fixtures is important as Fulham then have Ipswich and Brighton Hove Albion away. Those two fixtures against teams pushing for promotion are going to be tough.
