Often regarded as a retirement league by naïve fans within England, The truth is the MLS is an uncharted haven of talent.

Fulham have had a success with previous acquisitions from The States, Most notably with Brian McBride, Clint Dempsey and Carlos Bocanegra to name just a few.

With the signing of Sone Aluko relieving some of the pressure on the Strikers, I have identified four position that are still in need of strengthening throughout the squad.

Diego Valeri

30 years old

Portland Timbers

16 Appearances | 7 Goals | 5 Assists

Currently out injured, It will be difficult to get the Timbers to sell. The Argentinian play maker won the MLS Cup last season with the Timbers. Winning the league’s MVP award.

With Fulham currently in the market for a creative Midfielder, Valeri would suit the attacking midfielder role. Contributing directly towards 12 goals this season so far.

Valeri possesses an array of passing styles and is also a set pieces specialist.

Although it may be a monumental challenge to pry him away from Portland, Valeri could be a pivotal signing in the pursuit of promotion.

Fabian Castillo

24 years old

FC Dallas

19 Appearances | 5 Goals | 3 Assists

If there are two things Fulham are in need of, It is an out and out Wingers and pace.

The young Colombian brings both desired attributes with his playing style.

All though the club has recently signed Floyd Ayite, The squad is still sparce on the left hand side.

Castillo is good on the ball and the tricky winger creates opportunities with his dribbling ability. Thriving on quick counter attacking style of play.

The 24 year old will be looking for First Team football and with the aforementioned Ayite joining the roster earlier this month, Would Fulham be able to obtain his services?

Darlington Nagbe

25 years old

Portland Timbers

12 Appearances | 1 Goal | 3 Assists

Nagbe is a versatile player that is able to play in any of the attacking position behind the Strikers. The Liberian brings bags of pace through the middle of the field or down either flank. Like Castillo, Nagbe also boasts a good dribbling ability. Not only can he supply pace to the squad but is strong on the ball and offers hold up play for the Attackers to play off.

Just like Valeri, It may be a difficult task to persuade Portland Timbers to sell such an integral member of their squad.

Liam Ridgewell

31 years old

Portland Timbers

10 Appearances | 1 Goal | 0 Assists

Another member of the MLS Cup winning squad of 2015, Ridgewell would be a good addition to the Fulham defence, that is in need of some winning mentality.

The Englishman's main attribute is his concentration, Which would assist in steadying Fulham’s rocky back line.

Ridgewell spent time on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion last season, Making 5 appearances in the league. Vital Championship experience that would make the Centre Back a benefinical signing.

Ridgewell supplies versatility to the back line, Being able do a job at fullback

Now past the age of 30, His age could work in the clubs favour in enticing him back to England.

With few years left of his career, The 31 year old may fancy a return home.

Do you think we can sign any of the players spotlighted?
