In this episode of Scouting Reports we look at target Sehrou Guirassy and Brentford Keeper David Button

Recently, Fulham have been linked to 20 year old LOSC Lille striker Sehrou Guirassy and Brentford keeper David Button. Guirassy had been scouted by Arsenal, but their interest has cooled. Because of the cooling, it could be the perfect time for Fulham to swoop and pickup a young Frenchman in the mold of recently departed Moussa Dembélé. David Button was Brentford's number one until they signed Daniel Bentley from Southend United. Now, with his playing time seemingly limited, Button is looking elsewhere for a greater chance at game time.

Sehrou Guirassy

Appearances: 3 starts and 5 substitute in Ligue 1, 15 starts and 1 substitute in Ligue 2

Goals: 0 in Ligue 1, 8 in Ligue 2

WhoScored Rating: 6.32 (not including Ligue 2 appearances)

Fulham had a tall young french striker up until the end of the season in Moussa Dembélé. He has since departed to Celtic and Fulham have yet to find a direct replacement. Recently however, Fulham have been linked to another player of the same mold, his name is Sehrou Guirassy. Guirassy has been looked at by Arsenal, but a disappointing start to his career in Ligue 1 made Arsenal turn their gaze to other targets. He has since torn apart Ligue 2 and is looking to challenge himself elsewhere this year. Cologne were thought to have secured his signature, but a last minute disagreement over the fee saw the deal fall apart. Guirassy could be the perfect replacement for Dembélé, and signing him to a long deal would reduce the risk of another loss on a free.

David Button

Appearances: 46 starts

Saves per game: 3.6

WhoScored Rating: 6.73

Fulham have been heavily linked to Brentford keeper David Button and a deal looks set to be completed for just over two million pounds. Button had been Brentford's number one for a couple years, but with Daniel Bentley coming in, Button is looking for a new club. Button has been described as an excellent shot stopper, which is always nice to have, and having very good positioning. It seemed as if Fulham keepers were caught out of position a little to much last year, so someone excelling in positioning would be welcome. Also, he has been described as a poor kicker of the ball. That should not be too much of a problem as our forwards are relatively small. All in all, Button would provide better competition for Bettinelli than Lonergan did and could possibly steal the number one position. He would be a quality signing and I hope to see him at the cottage next year.

In conclusion, I think Fulham should sign both of these players as they would certainly help with our promotion push.
