A scouting report of Bursaspor center back and Fulham rumor Serdar Aziz.

Let's look at the higlights that we have of Sedar Aziz. In Both Videos Aziz wears 4.

Serdar Aziz is a 6 foot tall center back currently playing for Bursaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig. His time there may be limited however, as the president of the Turkish team has reported they have received 2 bids for his services; one from Besiktas, and the other from Fulham. The Turkish side is more keen to sell to Fulham so they will not lose their star to a rival club. Aziz himself is said to be keen on a move across Europe. However, Aziz comes at a steep price, reported to be 8 million Euros, and Fulham's bid is said to be just above 5.5 million Euros. The following is a scouting report after watching highlights from 2 international matches and my opinion as to whether or not he should be signed.

Heading:(A-) Commands the box very well, and in another highlight video he scored a wonderful near post header from a corner. Commands the area very well and is exactly what we need to complement Madl.

Tackling: (B+) Seems to tackle very well and didn't give away any silly fouls except one against Huntelaar. In a physical league like the Championship he would do very well.

Positioning: (A+) Just watching his positioning you can see why he is an international. Always in a good position and was never caught on the wrong side. Too many times last season defenders were caught out of position which lead to the absurd amount of goals conceded.

Distribution: (B+) He can pass the ball with very good control and efficiency. He is so composed on the ball and takes his time with his passing. Last year, or defenders would rush themselves and give away the ball to easily.

After considering all of the factors, I have some to the conclusion Aziz should be signed at any price. We should just pay the 8 million Euro tag and bring him in to avoid a bidding war. With the player being keen, I could see him coming in and playing with Madl. That would secure our central defense, although we should still sign one more defender, and we could focus on possibly a left wing back.
